Oh I know..I'm dreadfully behind.  I'm going to try to fly through some of these summer posts...we'll se.  

Anyway, Fahters day was a day to hang with Dad :)  Hannah's new-found interest is chess...and she's actually not too bad.  She knows how each piece can move so she really does hold her own.  

 A card all about Daddy with pictures.  Hannah filled in the all about dad part and isaac drew pics...he's looking in the pocket to find his contribution :)

 We made these plaques for Seth's gift.  They were fun to make..they kids enjoyed the trip the hardware store, a place we don't frequent very often :)

These kids are blessed with a wonderful, godly father.  I am thankful for his love for me and the children and his leadership in our home.  What a gift he is to us!  

Hannah's First Date

She is blessed to have a wonderful Daddy who loves Jesus and his family.  The daddy/daughter relationship is special for sure..I'm glad that they have such a strong bond already and pray that it will only grow over the years.  This was the first of many more dates together.  :)

Helping Daddy

 After one too many times of people having difficulty getting out of our bathroom we decided that it was time for the door handle from 1950 something to go.  This seemed like it would be a quick easy fix, but nothing is ever like that when you are a homeowner is it?!  :)  Seth ended up having to drill another hole in the door...but now we have a nice new doorknob...and no one gets stuck in the bathroom anymore.  Hannah loved watching and helping her Daddy. 

Fishing with Daddy

I think I'm going to give up on trying to catch up and just start fresh today.  I may do some "rewind posts" here and there.  But the purpose of my blog is to keep our family in tune with what we are doing and what the kids are up too..not what they were up to 2 months ago :)  I do love having the record of the kids growth on here...so hopefully I'll catch up someday.  But it sure is harder to keep up with a blog with two little ones to care for, so we'll see :)

Anyway,  TODAY....Hannah got to have a morning date with her Daddy.  They went to a fishing derby at a local park.  Although they didn't catch any fish, they sure had fun being together.  Hannah loves getting to ride in Daddy's car and just hang out with him. Here are some pics that they took from their morning.

Daddy's Little Helper

Hannah loved helping Daddy with the leaves this year. She had fun raking and scooping up the leaves to put in the bag. It's a joy to watch her with her Daddy...she wants to be just like him!

Fishing with Daddy

On Wednesday morning, we headed to the dock for Hannah's first fishing experience with her Daddy. This is one excited little fisher-lady.

Enjoying the first catch of the day. Seth caught a ton of little blue gill...nothing to excited for him, esp. after his Canada trip...but for Hannah it was a thrill!

Seth would catch the fish then lay them on the dock. Hannah would pick them up by the tail then send them back to swim with their friends in the water.

Fathers Day

Seth is a wonderful father to Hannah! It was fun to have a day to celebrate him! We enjoyed the morning at church, then had a bbq lunch at our house with Jeff and Amber. While Hannah slept we relaxed on the back porch talking about youth ministry and just enjoying each others friendship. We had planned to go out to dinner after Hannah's nap but were both still stuffed from lunch. We gave Seth his gifts, watched Madagascar 2 together, and then Seth went to pizza hut to get himself some fathers day wings. We always enjoy a relaxing day to just be together!

Hannah gave Seth a picture collage of pictures of her and her daddy, and she made this finger painting picture for him...as you can see below...she is so proud!

A Snowy Day with Daddy

Mommy and I are always happy to have Daddy at home on Fridays. I haven't had a chance to play in the snow with him, since it's always cold and dark when he gets home. We went out to play this past Friday...everything is more fun with Daddy!

My first piggy back ride

Daddy just took me for my first piggy back ride. I had so much fun! I loved wrapping my arms around his neck...my daddy is so much fun!!
