More Thanksgiving

We continued Thanksgiving with dinners 2 and 3 over the weekend with Seth's family. I don't know what happened with my camera..I must have been on vacation mode...b/c I just didn't take a ton of pics.  We had dinner with Nana, Papa, and Aunt Sue, movie nights, craft store shopping trips with my sis in law, sewing lesson (and new curtains to show for it!), Ohio State having victory over Michigan  dinner and Aunt Di and Uncle Daves, and so much more fun all packed into one weekend.  It was fun to all be together for the first time at Seth's parents new home.  It was a great weekend!

Thanksgiving

It was so fun to be able to host my family for Thanksgiving dinner this year.  It's the off year for my immediate family...so my married siblings were with their in-laws (we saw ours on Fri and Sat)...so we had my Mom, Dad, and Jeremy for dinner.  Everyone came for dessert and we had a great time wrapping up the day together.  I'm blessed with a wonderful family!!
Tim got right on the floor and played with little Ethan...what a fun uncle!

Isaac just adores his Abby.  He wanted to be right next to her...
He even shared Thomas with Abby...
 sweet, sweet, Abby
 Ethan and Nana
Mom and Dad with their 2 little boys and 2 little girls
so...very...blessed.

Thanksgiving

Thought maybe I should post our thanksgiving pics before Christmas got here :)  We had a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving and all that we have to be thankful for.  We spent the weekend with my family...my sister and her hubs were kind enough to host us for the weekend, as well as the whole family for Thanksgiving dinner.
Here's my little pumpkin ready for some turkey
Story time with Uncle Seth.
 Nana and Ethan
This is how the gentlemen, ladies, and farmers ride times two...a good workout for my legs :)
 Seth Michael and Isaac Michael
Uncle Adam let the kids sit ontop of the refrigerator.  Uncles are way too much fun!!
Speaking of fun...Auntie Beth made sand art creations with Hannah
Hannah was very neat about it
 Here's her finished creation
I just loved watching the kids play together in their jammies each morning.  Here the boys are reading books on the fireplace..precious.
My little Isaac is really starting to enjoy books!
...even if they are upside down.
It's becoming tradition to take in the Christmas tree festival if we are there at Thanksgiving.  We had fun looking at all of the trees.  I told Hannah to pick her favorite and we would take a picture in front of it.  She wanted her picture with this snowman tree.
And since it was Buckeye game day..we had to get a pic in front of the Buckeye tree too!
If Isaac could have told us, I'm sure he would have picked this bird tree...he LOVES birds!
Hannah and Nana checking out the trees
 Hannah loved this train
and Ethan loved watching the dancing bears.
and just as we were about to leave we spotted Alvin and the Chipmunks..what fun!

More Thanksgiving!

Saturday morning, poor Hannah woke up with the stomach flu for the first time. It was nice to have Grandma and Papa there to help take care of her and to help me through my first flu experience (something I've always dreaded). Hannah was feeling much better by morning and played around the house.
She got to feed Eli his breakfast, and did a great job...he loved getting his breakfast from Hannah.

Hannah did good all day and didn't have a fever, so in the evening...we were all off to Gran and Pa's for Thanksgiving dinner. When we got there...Pa and Canon were busy carving the turkey...yum!

Gran gave Isaac the OSU quilt that she made for him (I have a pic of Seth smiling with it...but this one wasn't as blurry)
Gran's first time to hold her new great-grandson
Happy Thanksgiving!!
We have so much to be Thankful for! This year, we are very thankful for the newest addition to our family...little Isaac. We are thankful for the healthy pregnancy, smooth delivery, and our healthy/adorable/super happy baby boy! We are especially thankful for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and for the gift of salvation. We are in awe of His love for us and thankful that we can have a relationship with Him. Hannah's verse for this thanksgiving sums it up:
Psalm 136:1
"Give Thanks to the Lord, for He is good, His love endures forever."
Thankful for a Lord that loves us with an everlasting and unconditional love!

Happy Thanksgiving

I'm catching up on all the pictures from last week. It's sad to say good-bye to fall...such a wonderful season. We had a great time celebrating all that we have to be thankful for with my family. This year was a little bit different, for the past 7 Thanksgivings, we have traveled to see both sides of family in on weekend. It's a lot of driving. We enjoyed doing it, and were happy to so that we could be with both families. This year we decided that we would start taking turns with our families. Although we missed our other family, it did make for a much more relaxing holiday.
my mom hosted the dinner this year. She made a delicious meal!

Hannah enjoyed the meal too!

so much to be thankful for

Psalm 100
"Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations."

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! We have so much to be thankful for everyday! I really enjoy a day to stop and reflect on all that God has blessed us with. WE have so much to thank Him for. I love a day to be with family without the worry of gifts. Just such a great day!

Here are just a few of the things that I have to be thankful for this Thanksgiving:
  • I thank God for my salvation through His son Jesus Christ

  • for my wonderful husband. For the companion that he is and the joy that it is to see God working in and through him.

  • Hannah Grace...the precious little girl that he has blessed us with. She has brought so much joy to our lives! It so neat to already see God's gifts in her life...I can't wait to see how He will use her for His glory!

  • my extended family. For my parents, brothers and sister, my new nephew, and in-laws. It's so neat to see our family growing! I miss them terribly, but am so thankful that they are only a car drive away.

  • our church family who has been our family away from home. We love serving at FBC!

  • my friends...God has blessed me with so many wonderful friendships!

  • financial provision...I'm thankful for how God has provided for us finacially, for Seth's "job" and for our home.

  • along the same lines, I'm SO thankful for the opportunity to be a stay at home mom. I love being with Hannah to be with her each day.
