Library Picks of the Week

We love the library! We are always looking for a good book...thought that we would share with you some of our finds.

The Bear Who Shared is a great book! We love this author and loved her book too! The pictures are beautiful and the story teaches a good lesson about sharing. Bear waited patiently and when he reaped the rewards of his patience, he shared and made new friends. Great book about sharing!

Hebrews 13:16

"Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God."

Another recent library favorite is the "The Jesus Movie: Read and Share DVD Bible". Hannah loves this movie and has asked for it numerous times since we returned it to the library. It tells the story of Jesus and is great for watching with your children anytime but especially during the Easter season. It shows Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection in a way that isn't too graphic for children...but it sure made an impact on Hannah. This was a great pick for our family movie night!

Helmet Update

We went for another monthly helmet check last week. Since last month, Isaacs head has grown 1/8" (just on the flat spot)...this was great news. He only has 1/8" left to go!! Robin said that the only reason he is still in his helmet is because of age not because of his progress. His head looks great and we are so excited! She would like to see his flat spot closed and have him go to sitting position on his own before we take it off. With him being so young still, there is always the chance of his head going back, and we don't want that after all this....

We go back to Childrens in the middle of June. Robin suggested asking if we can go to part time, which would be just at night. I would be thrilled for that! With it getting warmer, he gets sweaty under there...and we are all just ready. Hoping and praying that we will be able to move to part time in June...but we'll see. We've made it this far...and are so excited for the progress made...so we'll take whatever we get. It's going to be worth it! :) So thankful for such a HAPPY baby!!

Easter

Easter started out celebrating our Risen Savior at Church. Hannah joined in with the bell choir..this was her second time carrying signs to go along with the songs the bell choir plays. She does a great job!

It was wonderful to have our family here to worship with us (missed you Tim and Hannah :))

Nana and the Fam come for a visit

We had the blessing of having my mom come and stay with us the week before Easter. She came early and Dad and Jeremy came for the weekend, along with Beth, Adam, and Ethan. What a joy it was to have some family time. It was so nice to have my mom here...she totally spoiled us...we got a date night and she helped me so much around the house. It may have been the first time that I've seen the bottom of the laundry pile since Isaac was born. She also washed floors, washed windows, cleaned my fridge, and other spring cleaning goodies. Of course, she played with the kiddos too. We had fun having her here for a week so that we could show her our weekly routine.

We took her to Jungle Java...we had lunch, coffee, and both of the kids loved the playtime.

Isaac enjoyed playing with the balls at Jungle Java

We enjoyed having dinner with her every night...Hannah took this picture of her Nana :)

Nana loves the library...so it was fun to take her to story time. Hannah had fun doing this floor puzzle and reading the story...she is learning to use her "reading finger".

Hannah couldn't wait for Uncle J to get here...of course she was anxious to play with the ipod too :)

Seth taught Jeremy how to play Risk. They ended up playing for hours over the weekend. :)

Ethan loved Sawyer...and Sawyer was patient with Ethan...

we didn't even plan this....the boys just happened to have matching jammies

It was so nice to have family here for Easter weekend. I have lots of pics from Easter...so that will be another post. Hopefully, I can get them edited and posted soon.

chop sticks!

Back in March (I'm just downloading all the pics from my small camera...oops), we took Mrs. Domstad to a favorite sushi restaurant in the area for her birthday. We enjoyed the time over lunch with her and Hannah loved trying out chop sticks for the first time. She ate her whole lunch with them!

The Skunk Lullaby

Hannah loves story time at the library...this was one of her favorite songs that Ms. Dotty taught her.

My Pal

I'm catching up on some videos that I missed earlier. This one is from March...Hannah has taken a new liking to "My Pal": Violet...it's too cute to watch them sing "together"

Good Morning Girls Summer Book Club

I'm excited to start this summer book club journey with several of my girl friends. We will be reading and praying over a different passage of scripture everyday along with reading through "The Ministry of Motherhood" by Sally Clarkson. Then we will be sharing with each other what the Lord is teaching us. It's not too late to join in...grab the book and let me know if you are interested!

The SOAP Bible study method and reading schedule is posted here.

Springtime at the Park

We LOVE going to the park. These pics are from early spring. We enjoyed a walk and the kids especially loved playing on the swings. :) These pics are sure to make you smile...

one of Hannahs new favorite parts of the park is the monkey bars...and she's actually pretty good at them! She's a determined little girl. :)

Isaac's first time sitting up in the stroller (not riding snapped in his carseat)...he loved looking around!
