A Day of Trains

It was so much fun to spend a day taking train rides this spring.  The kids just loved it...and we had so much fun watching them.

All Aboard!!
Climbing on the BIG train

 4 cousins all in a row :)
 Adam and Ethan
 Beth and Abby
 So excited!
Starting to move..Isaac watched out the window the whole time.  He was so fascinated.
 {love}
What a silly family :)

After our train ride, the kids got to go up in the engine.  It was a tall climb up the stairs to get there..but they were brave and were so excited to sit in the drivers seat. :)

After our train ride, we got to ride in the track cars.  It was hard to choose which was more fun.  The track cars zoomed us right along the track...I think he said we were going 40mph.  We had a fun ride.

Such a fun spring day!

A Weekend with Grandma & Papa

My pictures must have got a little out of order.  These pics are from a wonderful weekend we had with Grandma and Papa.  We were really glad to get to see them the weekend before Mothers Day and celebrate Grandma.

It was a little cool...but still we had beautiful weather.  We decided to take Papa and Grandma to the park to play.  The kids had so much fun bouncing with Papa on this bridge.

Hannah is determined to get the monkey bars

 such a happy day

The kids made flower pots for their grandma's for Mothers Day.  Hannah picked these tulips out just for Grandma.  We spray painted the pots with chalkboard paint and they decorated away.

Papa and Grandma joined us for a super fun trip to the circus!  Hannah got to feed the animals before the show (Isaac watched bc they animals made him too nervous)
I just love the expression on Hannah's face here.

It was almost as much fun watching the kids watch the circus as it was watching the circus itself.  They had Isaac's full attention the whole time.  He clapped and laughed...it was so cute!

Mothers Day

This was the first Mothers Day in several years that I got to see my mom...what a treat it was.  My family came to church with us that morning.  It was so nice to be able to worship with them and then share lunch and the afternoon together.  Seth grilled pork loin..it was a delicious lunch!
What a blessing to be with my family
and my precious children who call me "mom".  I love them so much and thank God for the opportunity to be their mom.  I pray that I will honor Him as together with Seth, we bring them up.  May they come to know Jesus as their Savior and serve Him with their lives.

A Winter Day with Pop, Nana, and Uncle J

Back at the beginning of the month we were able to take some of our teenagers to a local homeless shelter for a service project.  We made over 130 beds to be slept in that night.  We folded towel and pajamas and scrubbed walls.  As I laid out each cot and tucked in each sheet I couldn't help but be thankful the warm bed that I would be going home to that night.  We are so blessed...and thankful for how God has provided for our every need.  My dad was kind enough to meet us at the shelter and take the kids home for the day...what a blessing!  The kids were blessed to be able to spend the day with their grandparents, and we were blessed to have focused time serving with the teens.

Mom and Dad took the kids to a Christmas play and out for lunch.  We met up with them later in the day and enjoyed a horse drawn wagon ride.

Later that night we got to go on a date night with Beth and Adam to see the cake boss and then out for coffee....what a blessing to have time with family!!

More Cousin Time

We had the privilege of getting to see Cody, Erica, Eli and Cal during their family vacation.  They stopped in for an overnight.  It was fun to share our new house with them and enjoy the playtime.
The boys loved riding around on the "bike"
They were able to join us for pizza and movie night.  Hannah and Eli decided it should be a pajama party :)

Fall at P.Graham Dunn

My mom played her violin for the fall festival at P.Graham Dunn.  The music was beautiful and just right for the occasion.  We enjoyed going to see her play at shopping at the warehouse for the first time.
