Happy Birthday, Gran!

Today is Gran's birthday.  I didn't get a card in the mail on time, but I think this may have turned out to be even better than a card...we'll see what Gran thinks :)  Thought since I actually took the time to download a video that I would share the cuteness with anyone else who is interested.  :)  Happy Birthday, Gran!!

Animal Sounds

Isaac is learning his animal sounds and loves it!  This day, he was wearing a dinosaur shirt...so we were practicing the "roar" sound...doesn't he sound ferocious?!

Family Weekend

 We love family weekends.  They are especially fun in the fall, because we love watching the Buckeyes together...and they are even more fun when everyone can be there.  This was one of those weekends.  Adam and Jill came out to meet Cal...so everyone was there!

Beginning Steps!

Over the past few weeks Isaac has been learning how to take steps, usually two or three at a time.  Yesterday, he took 20 steps across the kitchen.  This video is from today...a few steps...get's himself back up....and takes a few more.  This boy is going to be all over the place in NO time!

Hannah reads to Isaac

We got these books from the library this week.  Hannah and Isaac both loved them..and wouldn't you believe I found them at a mom to mom sale this morning for 50 cents each.  Isaac sat on Hannah's lap while she read to him...quite a precious moment.

Our Little Reader

Hannah has always loved books and lately has shown an interest in reading.  She's been learning to read sight words with good 'ol Dick and Jane.  This video is kinda dark...but you can hear her reading....it sure blesses this kdg teachers heart.  :)

Isaac seriously does some of the cutest things...he just recently learned how to smack his lips and is such a little ham when he does it...love him!

Isaac's first cereal

Isaac was just a few days shy of 5 months when we gave him his first cereal. We started him on rice, which you can tell from the pictures he didn't like much at all. He ate half and spit half out. We quickly switched him to oatmeal which he does much better with. He eats it all...but doesn't like opening his mouth for it. Mommy is thankful for cereal though...the nights have been much better...it gives him just what he needs to make it through the night..yay!

I've got the Joy!

For Christmas, my MOPS group gave Hannah (and I) the Go Fish Christmas cd (C is for Christmas). She loves it! Esp. the first song..."Joy to the World". It's fun for both of us to listen to...and she loves to dance to it...def her favorite Christmas song this year. We had to share a quick video of her enjoying the music!

Luke 2:11

Hannah's verse for this Christmas season has been Luke 2:11. It's neat to see her memorizing God's word and hiding it in her heart. Jesus is the reason that we can celebrate!

A story for Baby Isaac

One of my favorite stories when I was a little girl was "Are you My Mother?" I decided to get this book from the library for Hannah and like me, she just loved it! We've read it to her so many times that...well...you'll see :)

Bedtime Songs

Notice the rollers in my hair? This was my first time wearing them...we were practicing for Josh and Katies wedding. I left them in all night and was excited to have curly hair in the morning. Mommy said that it reminded her of when Nana used to put rollers in her hair on Saturday nights for church. My hair turned a little more frizzy than mommy would have liked, so for the wedding we are going to let it do it's natural curl or use a curling iron. Next time, we'll try the next size up of rollers and see if that helps. :)
