Bee's Bee's Bee's

Another fun day in the metro parks.  We are working our way through the "spring for all" hiking spree, which is all short hikes that are perfect for the kids.  This was another beautiful spring day.
The kids just ran and ran around the path in this beautiful garden.

We stopped at this pond and saw lots of wildlife
 7 different frogs, tadpoles,
and a painted turtle (do you see him sunning himself on the rock?)
We met Aunt Hannah and the girls that she is a nanny for there.  Here they all are exploring together.

We went inside to see a real bee keeper getting the hive ready for the season.
it was so much fun to learn all about bee's!

Kinderealm: Hummingbirds

We love the metro parks!   The month of April's kinderealm was all about Hummingbirds.
Here Ethan and Isaac are learning about how long a humming birds tongue is...
Hannah got to go up and demonstrate for everyone.

They make a craft..here's Hannah's hummingbird and nest.
Then off for a hike with the naturalist.
