Birthday Buddies Together Again

It was so much fun to have Ali, Cliff and their beautiful family stay with us again. There were here at the beginning of April (yes...I'm about a month behind on blogging)...

It was fun to have Josiah and Isaac together again and to watch the kids play. This family is such a blessing and encouragment to be with!!

My friend Mia

Meet Amelia...one of Isaacs biggest fans. She loves babies and has taken a special liking to Isaac (she even names her baby dolls after him). Here they are laughing and giggling together...everyone in the room was all smiles :)

My Pal Sawyer

I love how tolerant Sawyer is of the little ones. Both Isaac and Hannah adore him. He shows his love for them by staying close by. Sawyer likes to sit on the rocking chair in the nursery...and esp when Isaac was an infant, it wasn't uncommon to find Sawyer laying on the rug in front of Isaac's crib. When I would be up nursing Isaac in the middle of the night, Sawyer would just up on the chair with us. He shows affection to Hannah by sleeping on the end of the bed with her, which she loves. If she becomes too much for him, he hops down and sleeps under the bed.

Two Kids in a Tub

We were thrilled when Isaac started sitting up and was able to start taking baths with his sister. It's nice to be able to put them both in at the same time instead of two separate baths. I'm thankful for my wonderful husband who is such a great helper...with him around, bath time is a family affair. Each one of us takes one kid and we are done in no time.

Isaac loves the water. He loves to splash and splash. Hannah loves having him in the tub with her and has been a great sport about sharing her toys.

Family Game Night

We all love Friday nights. If we are home, we have a game night or a movie night. This particular Friday we were eager to try out our new game: Candy Land dvd style. Seth and I were less than impressed (good thing it was a thrift store find :))...but Hannah loved it! Watching her have so much fun made for a fun family game night!

Isaacs Favorite Toy

Isaac loves playing with Fisher Price Little People, his very favorite is the Little People farm. He loves the animals and the sounds that the barn makes....by far his favorite toy!

A Beautiful Day at the Zoo!

Back in March, we had a few beautiful days that gave us a taste of spring. We put on our coats and headed to the zoo. It was a perfect day for the zoo...the animals were as excited about the nice weather as we were. They were very active and so much fun to watch.

I don't know that we have ever really seen the gorillas at our zoo. We stood and watched them for such a long time. The one gorilla was having a great time entertaining us. He would move from pose to pose, run around, and even pounded on his chest. It was so much fun!

St. Patty's Day

We spent St. Patty's Day with friends here at our house. I made Corned Beef and Cabbage for the first time in the crock pot (usually we have Irish Beef Stew...but I had to know what all the fuss about Corned Beef was :)). We enjoyed the time of fellowship and had fun watching the kids play. Here are Hannah and Gavin playing Brown Bear, Panda Bear...what fun!

First Food

Isaac's first food was avacado...

I had read that this is the best first baby food...and Hannah loved it too (although I did give it to her much later). Isaac however, did not love avacado. Poor guy threw up the avacado...and everything that he ate before it. Yuck!

We waited a week and tried a new "first food". Next he had sweet potatoes...which he did love! He is now also eating butternut squash, bananas, and green beans. He is eating (still small amounts) right along with us for each meal now too...we love having him at the table with us. For breakfast he has cereal and fruit, lunch is a fruit and veggie, and dinner is cereal, fruit, and veggie (we like that tummy nice and full before bedtime :)).

It's still so crazy to me how fast he is growing!

Isaac at 6 months

Happy 1/2 birthday, Isaac! The time goes so fast! At 6 months, Isaac is: -sitting up strong -rolling from back to front and front to back -army crawling all over the place -giggling -mimics shaking his head "no" -eats oatmeal cereal (started baby food right after his 6 mo. bday) -plays with toys, his favorite is Hannah's Fisher Price farm -wears 3-6 month clothes -plays with toes
