Family Day at the Orchard

We had a wonderful family day at the apple orchard yesterday.  We found a new orchard to visit...and loved it!  They ran such a great special that we couldn't pass up.   The weather was beautiful and the family time was even better.

One little girl...eager to get started
and apple in the pumpkin patch..what?!
trying to get him some pumpkin!
 A day at the orchard
ready to fill the bag...we got a 1/2 bushel of apples...we weighed our bag at home...20lbs!  I think there are some apple pies, apple pancakes, and applesauce in our future!

 Isaac even picked some

 running with Daddy

Seth was amazed with how red and beautiful the apples were.  Look at the trees...they were full of them!  We picked Ida Reds :)
 So blessed...

ERrr...some were easier to pick than others
Isaac LOVED eating the whole apple!!
Hannah was SO excited!  She ran from tree to tree picking and picking
while this little one ate and ate

determined for that bite of apple!

Animal Sounds

Isaac is learning his animal sounds and loves it!  This day, he was wearing a dinosaur shirt...so we were practicing the "roar" sound...doesn't he sound ferocious?!

Morning Breakfast with her "Lovies"

One morning, Hannah decided that she was going to host breakfast her her "lovies" in Isaac's room.
She wanted me to be sure to get a picture of her with Nemo and Brutus.

I love watching her imagination develop and her creative juices flow.  I love being home with her each day and enjoying the simple things...like eating breakfast on the floor with stuffed animals :)

I.love.YOU!

Before our kids can sign I love you with one hand, we teach them how to sign it by hugging themselves and pointing to the one they love.  Isaac just learned how to sign "I love you" this week and loves saying it...it melts my heart!

I love...
YOU!!

A Crisp Fall Sunday Afternoon

Every other Sunday, we enjoy a time of fellowship and encouragement around the Word with our small group.  On the off Sundays, we have been enjoying family time in the afternoons.  On this particular one, we visited a local barn...there wasn't too much to do on that particular day, but it was nice to just be outside and be together.  Hannah was not up for pics....but I'm happy with the few that I was able to snap of Isaac.

Family Weekend

We love family weekends.  They are especially fun in the fall, because we love watching the Buckeyes together...and they are even more fun when everyone can be there.  This was one of those weekends.  Adam and Jill came out to meet Cal...so everyone was there!
I love these pics of Papa and Isaac
Hannah and Auntie Jill were pretend texting each other.  They said their messages outloud and then said "send" it was fun to see the creative juices flowing.
cell phone in the back pocket, just like momma
This lady loves being and aunt..and is rather good at it too!
 Grandma and Isaac
 My Buckeye babes

 snuggles with baby Cal
I wish this video didn't turn out so dark...but it's fun to watch Hannah and Eli dancing to "Every Move I Make"

Isaac's First Haircut

On Thursday evening we did it...we took Isaac for his first haircut.  For a while it needed cut so bad...but I wanted to get past his first birthday, and then his one year old pics.  By that time...it had turned really cute and everyone commented on how they loved his hair.  But we got to the point where it was just getting too long...so we broke down and took him in for his first haircut.  Rosanne did a great job with him...he sat so still and didn't cry or squirm much at all.  She cut his hair so it looks much better, but he still looks "baby" so I'm happy for that...he is already growing up too fast and will only be baby once :).  I didn't cry at all..I was busy with cameras and spotting him on his little bench which distracted me from what was really happening (you know my sentimental heart).  So here are the pics...I just love my cute little boy!

Before...happy as can be
 starting off

Isaac and Rosanne...doesn't he looks so cute?!
