Fun with Inflatables

We love our family day's!  On this particular day we played mini golf and on inflatables.  I almost didn't post these pics (I'm trying to zoom through and catch up)...but this was the kids first time mini golfing (when it wasn't a youth activity) and I love Isaac esp on the inflatables.  Enjoy  

Hannah loved golfing and this was the perfect place to learn and try because it wasn't an additional charge....she could shoot around all she wanted to.    

 Isaac is by nature a little bit nervous to try new things.  We didn't know if he would do the inflatables or not.  But we were super proud of how brave he was.  By the end he was going down the huge slide on his belly, face first...to cute!  

Fireworks!

We enjoyed watching fireworks with Aunt Beth, Ethan, Nana, and Pop this year. It was kinda a last minute decision...love impromptu's.  We  gave the kids a bath and put them in their 4th of July jammies from Grandma and headed out for a fun filled summer night.  

Beth and Ethan had a Mommy/son date.  

 The kids were so excited to sit with Pop

 This boy just loves life.  It's neat to see how excited he gets...don't you just love the look of amazement on his face as the first fireworks were set off?  

 Isaac did watch the fireworks...but it was from behind his blankie.  He didn't cry or complain...but was a tad bit nervous.  His blankie helped.  

Firefly's

Isn't summer just all about wonderful, simple pleasures like eating ice cream and catching firefly's?!  Seems that the firefly's come out right at bedtime...but on this certain night, the kids enjoyed staying up late and running through the yard catching this blinking little creatures :)

Strawberry Pickin'

Still so behind.  This was our first mom and kids playdate with the kiddos from church.  We went strawberry picking and had so much fun.  If you can't tell from the pictures...the kids may have ate just as many strawberries as they picked.  :)  

Fathers Day

Oh I know..I'm dreadfully behind.  I'm going to try to fly through some of these summer posts...we'll se.  

Anyway, Fahters day was a day to hang with Dad :)  Hannah's new-found interest is chess...and she's actually not too bad.  She knows how each piece can move so she really does hold her own.  

 A card all about Daddy with pictures.  Hannah filled in the all about dad part and isaac drew pics...he's looking in the pocket to find his contribution :)

 We made these plaques for Seth's gift.  They were fun to make..they kids enjoyed the trip the hardware store, a place we don't frequent very often :)

These kids are blessed with a wonderful, godly father.  I am thankful for his love for me and the children and his leadership in our home.  What a gift he is to us!  

Marbles!

This just takes me right back to my childhood.  The kids learned how to play marbles this summer and they are both great at it.  I love the concentration that comes across their little faces when they have the shooter marble in their hands.  Have I mentioned how much I love our patio?  The kids play and play out there.  We just draw a circle and we are good to go.  Just more summertime fun...

Do you remember playing marbles?!  Just draw a circle and put all the marbles in the middle.  Use the big marble..the shooter to aim at the little marbles and knock them out of the circle.  The player that knocks them out gets to keep them.  The one with the most marbles at the end is the winner.  Easy peasy and super fun!  

Hannah's First Date

...and it was with her Daddy!  

They are all dressed up for a Daddy/Daughter date at Chic-Fil-A

She is blessed to have a wonderful Daddy who loves Jesus and his family.  The daddy/daughter relationship is special for sure..I'm glad that they have such a strong bond already and pray that it will only grow over the years.  This was the first of many more dates together.  :)
