Steak N Shake with Mr. and Mrs. Mullins

On Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Mullins took Daddy, Mommy, and I to Steak N Shake for dinner. It was my first time eating there and it was so yummy! I shared a guacamole burger and friend with mommy...yum!

I loved being a Steak N Shake girl :)

But the best part of all was sharing a vanilla milk shake with Mr. Mullins!

Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather in my neck of the woods: It's a beautiful day today...it's warmer than it's been, the sun is shining, and I'm hoping to have time for a walk after Hannah's nap!

One of my simple pleasures: Sharing breakfast with my husband and daughter in the mornings :)

On my bedside table: The power of a praying wife, The Duggars: 20 and Counting

On my tv: Not sure what we are going to do now that the Olympics are over...I might have to swing by Redbox tonight and use my coupon code for a free movie (RBXLUV4U)

On the menu for tonight: Well..the menu says: chipotle chili cornbread bake (a new pampered chef recipe that I'm excited to try) but Seth and I both have meetings at church tonight..so we'll see if that really happens :)
On my to-do list: laundry and work on mission board stuff for my meeting tonight (I hate that I'm a procrastinator!), update pampered chef website

New Recipes I tried last week: Special Spud Soup (Hannah couldn't get enough of this!), bread machine garlic bread, black bean quesadillas, bacon, linguine and tomato toss (this was another new pampered chef recipe that I tried. It turned out sooo good! Seth said that he felt like he was at Macaroni Grill and gave it an A!)

In the craft basket: games, goodies, and gifts for Hannah's birthday party

Looking forward to: Celebrating Hannah's second birthday with her! Celebrating tomorrow just her, Seth and I..then a ladybug themed party on Saturday with her little friends :)

Homemaking tip of the week: Ever wondered about safe, natural cleaners for your bath tub? I've been cleaning the walls with my homemade all purpose cleaner (right now it's just 1/2 vinegar 1/2 water). I scrub the tub with baking soda and water...for real tough spots, use a little vinegar too. Showerhead? Fill a ziplock bag full of vinegar and attach showerhead...let soak for 2 hours or overnight.

Favorite blog posts from last week: Praying from head to toe: A great post about covering your husband in prayer from his head all the way down to his toes, Pray for your man and rest in his hands: Another great post about praying for your husband and submitting yourself to him, Do Hard Things, Love Your "Enemy", and Answering Questions about the Rapture and Last Days...are you ready for Jesus' return?!

Favorite Picture from last week: I love these two more than any other earthly thing
Lessons learned the past few days: A reminder of the importance of praying for my hubby.
On my prayer list: praying for my sister as she prepares to move with her little guy, friends/family who are hurting, friends out of work, my mops group.
Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Psalm 119:9 "How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your Word."

Dr. Suess Day at Target

I think it's really neat that Dr. Suess and I have the same birthday! Both of our birthdays are coming up this week! Target (one of Mommy and I's favorite stores) wanted to celebrate with a Dr. Suess story time. So this morning, Mommy and I headed over to Target. When we got there...Mommy stopped in at the Starbucks for a latte that she said was delish! Then I got a bag of goodies from Target: teddy grahams, a juice box, coloring book and crayons. I got to hear a Dr. Suess book and meet The Cat in the Hat! I couldn't stop saying "his has was soooo looonnng".
After our story we went shopping at Target and Dollar tree to get ready for my birthday party next weekend...I can't wait! What a fun morning with Mommy! :)

A Snowy Day with Daddy

Mommy and I are always happy to have Daddy at home on Fridays. I haven't had a chance to play in the snow with him, since it's always cold and dark when he gets home. We went out to play this past Friday...everything is more fun with Daddy!

We ate snow together
He pulled me around on my sled...whee!! I was very good at holding on and didn't fall off once!

boy...Daddy is slowing down...but I'm still having fun :)
then I thought it would be a good idea to pull Daddy on my sled...how silly!
I'm getting really good at making snow angels
see?
I love my Daddy!!

My kitten has mittens

One of my favorite songs to listen to is "The Three Little Kittens". Every time we get into the car..I ask to hear it. I thought that it would be funny to give my kitten some mittens...so I shared mine with Sawyer...doesn't he look silly?! :)

Playdate with Joshua

It's been a while since Joshua and I have been able to get together for a playdate. Joshua came over to my house last Wed. and boy did we have fun! Here are just a few of the things we did together:

Joshua is really good at building towers. He built this one and we both had fun knocking it down...luckily, mom got a picture first!

We had a tea party together!

And played with the kitties...
