A visit with Grandma F.

Last weekend Grandma F. came up for a few days. She had dinner with us on Saturday and went to church with us on Sunday. We had so much fun playing. Grandma brought me some very sweet Valentines gifts. I especially loved my puppy dog...I gave him lots of hugs! I'm so thankful for my Grandma who drove all the way from Ohio just to see me (& mom and dad too ;o)).
my new book from Grandma "You're my Little Love Bug". It sings to me and even has my picture in it!

love my daddy

Everyday when Daddy comes home from work, no matter where I am in the house, I scurry to the front door to meet him. I climb up his legs and he lifts me up for a big hug. If Mommy takes me so that Daddy can at least take his coat off...I just reach for him right back. Mommy makes dinner and I get my special Daddy time. We have so much fun playing together! I love my Daddy!
I love you Daddy!
maybe one day I'll be as tall as you...
somebody get this hair out of my eyes!
Peek a boo!

My new friend Gavin

On Friday evening, we got to spend some time with the Mikel family. As soon as Mommy put me on the floor my new friend Gavin started crawling all around the house with me. We played with Kathrine, Brennan, and Colin too! I loved that they had rubber duckies and cars. I think I had the most fun pushing the toy car around the living room. They also have the cutest little puppy, Loofa! She sniffed me and gave me lots of kisses! I said "oof oof" back to her. When Mommy tried to put me to sleep...I don't know what happened...but I just couldn't close my eyes...I was SO excited to play with my new friends. We all got to stay up late! Mommy and Daddy enjoyed time to talk and play Eucher...but we won't tell you who won....okay okay...it was the dads (but only by one point)

Me and my new friend Gavin
and I just loved Loofa too...can you see me saying "oof oof" to her?

some afternoon silliness

I had so much fun playing with mommy today. After my nap...we were BOTH being just a little bit silly!

Vegtable Beef Soup

Sheri and I enjoyed some warm soup on a cold wintery day. We had Vegtable soup and I told her I would get her the recipe...so here it is, for Sheri and anyone else who would like the try the recipe!

Vegtable Beef Soup
1 # ground beef (I used gr. turkey)
1 T. oil
1 c. carrots
1/2 c. sliced onion
1/2 c. sliced celery
2 T flour
1 (13 3/4-14 1/2 oz) can beef broth (I just use 1.5 cups of hot water with 2 beef boullion cubes)
1 (14 oz) can italian or mexican tomatoes (I used italian)
1 can water
1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
salt & pepper
1/2 cup frozen peas (I forgot to add these today...sometimes I will sub corn or green beans...whatever I have)
2 T parsley (this seems like a whole lot of parsley...I just add some to taste)

Brown beef in soup pan. Remove beef with slotted spoon. Add oil to pan, add carrots, onion, celery. Cover and cook about 5 minutes. Stir in 2T flour. Cook 1 minute. Add beef broth, tomoatoes (with juice), water, and beef. Add seasoning, bring to a boil, cook gently for a half hour. Stir in peas and parsley, cook for a few more minutes.

Enjoy!

Playdate Fun

I enjoyed a chance to play with my friends Amelia and Addison today. As always we had lots of fun! Amelia and Addison especially loved looking in the mirror. We played music on the drum and xylephone, and I took them exploring all over my house. Here are some pics for you to enjoy:

Playing in the snow with Mommy & Daddy

It's been so cold outside...but today finally warmed up a little bit, so Mommy and Daddy took me out to play in the snow for a little bit. Daddy made a snowman (while we watched) and Mommy and I played leap frog in the snow. And of course..Mommy just had to get some pictures...
