Children's Concert at the Orchestra

We were able to get tickets to a children's concert at the orchestra...thanks to a friends from church.  The kids LOVED the music, and it made for such a fun family day.

 Isaac clapped
 and danced to the music!
 He just loved it!
Hannah got a chance to play the jingle bells

The band was made up of a piano, bass, alto sax and drums.  Thanks for the great time, Elaine...we had so much fun!!

Truth in the Tinsel

For this advent season we have been working our way through the ebook Truth in the Tinsel, and Advent Experience for Little Hands.  Each day, Hannah get's a clue out of our Advent house.  Then we read a passage of scripture that tells part of the Christmas story.  While we are reading, Hannah listens for her clue, then we make an ornament to go along with what she learned.  We have both been loving this!  It has made our Christmas season meaningful and has helped both of us keep our focus on Christ.

Our advent house
Day 1:  Jesus is the Light of the World
 Day 2:  Painting the Crown
Jesus is the Prince of Peace
Day 3:  We learned about Zechariah.  See his mouth?  It's a popped bubble...he can't speak until his son John is born.
Day 4 and 5  Gabriel and Mary

Day 6:  Mary and Elizabeth.  Hannah LOVED painting with watercolor

Had to get a pic of Mary and Joseph together

Did you enjoy seeing her creations?  More to come soon!
What are you doing to celebrate this advent season?

Happy 1/2 Birthday Daddy

We were excited to surprise Seth with the news of his half birthday when he got home from work.  We had dinner and half of a chocolate cake.  We were all glad that it was Daddy's half birthday...we'll take any excuse we can get to eat chocolate cake :)

Mommy's Little Helper

Hannah is becoming more and more of a little helper around the house.
Here she is "helping" me cut out coupons.  She loves cutting with scissors...so this is a favorite activity!
Helping to put her clothes away.

Our Christmas Tree

Seth was nice enough to have the tree all set up and ready to go for us when we got home from our Thanksgiving weekend.  The very next night we had ornaments out and were getting the house all ready for Christmas.  This little girl was VERY excited

Isaac loved playing with the ornaments
she spread them out this year..she even wanted them up high

 me and my crazy kids
 oh how I love them!
now wait a second...that's my spot Hannah grace :)  Lots of kisses to be had under the mistletoe :)

Thanksgiving

Thought maybe I should post our thanksgiving pics before Christmas got here :)  We had a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving and all that we have to be thankful for.  We spent the weekend with my family...my sister and her hubs were kind enough to host us for the weekend, as well as the whole family for Thanksgiving dinner.
Here's my little pumpkin ready for some turkey
Story time with Uncle Seth.
 Nana and Ethan
This is how the gentlemen, ladies, and farmers ride times two...a good workout for my legs :)
 Seth Michael and Isaac Michael
Uncle Adam let the kids sit ontop of the refrigerator.  Uncles are way too much fun!!
Speaking of fun...Auntie Beth made sand art creations with Hannah
Hannah was very neat about it
 Here's her finished creation
I just loved watching the kids play together in their jammies each morning.  Here the boys are reading books on the fireplace..precious.
My little Isaac is really starting to enjoy books!
...even if they are upside down.
It's becoming tradition to take in the Christmas tree festival if we are there at Thanksgiving.  We had fun looking at all of the trees.  I told Hannah to pick her favorite and we would take a picture in front of it.  She wanted her picture with this snowman tree.
And since it was Buckeye game day..we had to get a pic in front of the Buckeye tree too!
If Isaac could have told us, I'm sure he would have picked this bird tree...he LOVES birds!
Hannah and Nana checking out the trees
 Hannah loved this train
and Ethan loved watching the dancing bears.
and just as we were about to leave we spotted Alvin and the Chipmunks..what fun!
